BARB-LESS HOOKS ONLY
No barbs allowed, no micro-barbs either - that is our rule and there is no excuse for using them.
Anglers know well the rigs they set up and failure to heed this warning could land you a LIFETIME BAN.
In 2009 alone, FIVE lifetime bans were issued on this rule.
Hook checks take place now as a matter of routine - even for regular customers.
STRICTLY NO FIRES
Fires on the ground cause damage and upset the neighbours and other anglers.
Portable barbecues are OK, but only for a maximum of one hour while food is cooked.
No re-fuelling used trays with wood or charcoal please.
NO LITTER
Discarding litter irresponsibly is offensive and will be instantly rewarded with a LIFETIME BAN.
In 2009 TWO bans were issued for this offence.
We do provide bins around the lake, but at the moment there is no recycling facility.
If possible, we prefer you to take your litter home with you and dispose of it with your own rubbish / recycling.
NO DOGS
Dog walking around the lake is not allowed. Any fouling will be counted the same as discarding litter.
GROUND BAIT
Small amounts of ground bait are acceptable for example in SWIM FEEDER or
METHOD FEEDER.
Method Feeders without elastic only.
FLOATING BAITS
Are allowed including bread and dog biscuits, but please be mindful if there is a match on. Bait drifting into another angler's swim can be offensive and may lead to conflict.
BANNED BAITS
The following baits are not allowed.
- Uncooked Hemp (help in a tin is ok)
-
Aniseed
-
Boilees (the hard variety - large pellet is ok as long as its soft)
-
Cat Food
BEACH CASTER RIGS
Are not allowed.
KEEP NETS
Are only allowed in matches.
Any broken rules and you will be asked to leave
